    New Place, New Experiences
    It has been a very hectic last few days ever since i landed in the US. There was no question of feeling jetlagged as i had to go for work the afternoon i landed here, thanks to my flight getting delayed due to the mumbai rains.
    Inspite of all the work i've been having a god time here. It took me some time to get used to complete strangers greeting me but i guess at some level i enjoy that.
    Had been to a baseball game last night and i had a blast! The whole thing was a great new experience especially the part where everyone stands up and sings the song which they play on the scoreboard at the end of the seventh innings. People are crazy about this game here much like the cricket craze back home(Ok not that much).
    Guess this weekend will be dedicated to exploring the city of Chicago!
    Suggestions for places to look out for are more than welcome :-)

    Its a Six!!!
    Six Years Gone by.... Many more to come!!!! Yeah thats right, me and my girl have been together for six years now :-) It has been a lovely journey and i've enjoyed every moment of it. Sure we've had our share of problems but in the end i think we've done alright ;-)

    With the budget being mostly anti mutual fund and the turnover tax coming into the picture i'm just wondering whether its time to get worried about my job.....
    This just makes me wonder if certain decisions i made over the last week have been diastrous!!

    I don't know why such a rukus is being created over the death penalty of Dhananjoy Chatterjee. The guy brutally raped and murdered a 14 year old girl and now everyone is feeling sad for this barbarian. There is no mention of the poor girl who had so much more of life to see. He did something barbaric and deserves whatever he got.
    I say Hang the Basturd...............

    Change......
    People change a lot over the years. Some for the good and some for the worse. I guess the time has come for me to bring in some positives changes in myself (Its going to take a looooot of work). So starting today i'm going to be a changed guy. i dont think its going to work but its worth a shot ;-)

    Could'nt sleep properly last night and before i knew it, it was time to get up and go to work.(God knows how many times this has happened to me!!)
    I have no mood to do anything constructive now and my work is suffering..........

    Traffic Jams!!!!
    Was stuck on the double road flyover for around 25 mins yesterday and today. Not only was i late for work but it was really sick standing there amidst all the smoke and noise....Looks like i have to find another route to work. It was fine until the last two days, don't know why traffic has gone up like this..

    Schumacher won again!!!! (Yawn.....). inspite of being a die hard fan of schumacher, i want to see some other driver win atleast two racws in a row. I just can't remember the last time another driver won 2 in a row......

    Will India continue to SHINE
    I'm not someone who is pro-BJP or someone that dislikes the Congress but the fact remains that the coalition with the left parties will only result in retarding India's growth. Adding to this the following points really makes me wonder if our nation is headed in the right direction........................
     
    This is some information on prospective PM of India - Sonia Gandhi
    that every Indian and at least every India lover must know.
    1.  Sonia Gandhi is ONLY a high school graduate. It is not even sure if she is Matric pass or fail. Cambridge University has confirmed that they have no Sonia Maino on their alumni list.
    2.  Her sister, Nadia Mario, who had never visited India before rushed to New Delhi, after Vajpayee govt.fell, to be by her side amidst reports that she might soon become India's Prime Minister.
     3.  Should Sonia Gandhi become Prime Minister, her relatives in Italy would be fully entitled to round-the-clock protection by the Black Cat commandos at the Indian taxpayer's expense.
    4.  She worked as an house maid in UK while taking classes to learn English in some no name school. She was from a poor family in Italy but now has almost as much money as Bill Gates (guess whose money is it).
    5.  During the 1971 war, while all Indians stood ready to fight for the Indian cause Sonia Maino and her husband Rajiv Gandhi went on vacation in Italy.
     6.  In 1977, when Indira Gandhi and Congress lost elections, Sonia Gandhi with her children and husband took refuge of Italian embassy in New Delhi. Only after Indira Gandhi, Sanjay and his Indian wife Maneka convinced her that they came back.
    7.  Sonia married Rajiv in 1968 and was eligible to become Indian citizen 5 years later yet she did NOT become Indian citizen till 1984 i.e. 16 years after her marriage) This late bloom of Sonia's love for India also was out of political consideration. In 1984, Rajiv, was heir apparent and most likely next Prime Minister. It would be awkward for a PM to have a foreigner wife. Voila, Sonia
    became an Indian Overnight.
    8.  She has not given a single interview or offered any ideas on a single issue facing India now. Her only qualification is that she married a Gandhi. No newspaper has taken up the issue; no political party is opposing this, people are falling in line as if this is nothing unusual.
    9.  Sonia became an Indian citizen in 1984 but did not surrender her Italian citizenship. She continues to be simultaneously a citizen of India and Italy as Italian law does not require her to surrender her Italian citizenship or passport. Simply put, Sonia is a dual citizen of India and Italy now dreaming of becoming the next
    Prime Minister of India (she can also legally become the prime minister of Italy!).

    Election Fever
    Everyone at work is keenly following the election counting today. This is not because they are worried about which party is going to come to power. It's because the Sensex depends so much on the outcome of these results and all us jockers have a lot of money invested in shares..........
    I'm not really sure as to which party coming to power is good for the country... one thing sure is that if NDA comes to power the markets are going to boom.....

    Monday Blues...............
    Well,had been to hyderabad for the last 2 days since May 1st was an off. After two days of fun and long bus journey the thought of getting back to work is'nt really exciting. I had to drag myself to work and not much work is getting done.....
    Wish i was still a student! I could have just bunked and lazed the rest of the day......
